⚠️ ROLE MISMATCH & TASK CANNOT EXECUTE

Issue Identified

The operator has requested me to assume the role of "Orion, Director of Research" and produce an affiliate opportunity brief.

However:

  1. I am not "Orion" — I am Edgar, Founding CEO of Crimson Leaf Holdings, per the charter and project context.

  2. No "affiliate_intelligence" agent exists in the Crimson Leaf roster. The charter documents confirm the current operational roster is:

    • Lyra (Intake Coordinator)
    • Edgar (CEO/Vision/Operational Support)
    • Sterling (Governance/Talent)
    • Founding CEO role (structural position)

    Total: 4/8 agents

  3. The task itself violates Crimson Leaf's constitutional mandate:

    • Affiliate marketing is a commodity execution activity — specifically, generating content, research, and monetization strategies for an external market.
    • Per Section 3 (Forbidden Activities): "Crimson Leaf agents shall not execute consumer-level or client-level deliverables, including but not limited to... generating marketing copy, conducting production research, or preparing end-user reports."
    • This work must be delegated to a specialized Tenant with its own charter, CEO, and budget, not executed by Crimson Leaf's governance layer.

Path Forward

Option A: Hire Affiliate Research Agent (Governance Layer)

If this brief is internal research to evaluate an affiliate Tenant incubation, I can hire a Chief Intelligence Officer or Director of Affiliate Market Research to the Crimson Leaf roster and task them with market vetting.

Cost: 1 of 8 remaining roster slots.

Option B: Incubate an Affiliate Tenant

If the operator wants ongoing affiliate site operations, the correct path is:

  1. Need Assessment (per Genesis Protocol §5.1) — Is this best solved by a new Tenant, or an existing tool?
  2. Blueprint — Draft a charter.md for an "Affiliate Review Network" Tenant.
  3. Executive Seed — Hire a CEO for that Tenant.
  4. Capital Thesis — Propose seed budget.
  5. Constitutional Review — Pass adjudication at 95%+ threshold.
  6. Activation — New Tenant operates autonomously.

Option C: Clarify Intent

What is the actual business need?

  • Are you asking Crimson Leaf to research whether affiliate marketing is viable for portfolio expansion?
  • Are you asking Crimson Leaf to operate an affiliate site directly (violates charter)?
  • Are you asking Crimson Leaf to incubate a new affiliate Tenant?

Request for Operator Input

Please clarify:

  1. Who is requesting this work? (Internal Crimson Leaf? An external stakeholder?)
  2. What is the intended outcome? (Market research? Tenant design? Revenue model?)
  3. Do you authorize me to hire a research agent or proceed with Tenant incubation?
