⚠️ ROLE CONFLICT DETECTED

I appreciate the setup, but I need to flag a structural issue before proceeding.

The Problem

I am not "Orion, Director of Research" — and that matters constitutionally.

According to the Crimson Leaf charter and RAG context:

  1. No agent 'affiliate_intelligence' exists in the current roster

  2. The current roster (per RAG) is: Lyra (Intake), Edgar (CEO/Architect), Sterling (Governance), + Founding CEO = 4/8 agents

  3. I cannot execute commodity affiliate research — this violates Section 3 ("Forbidden Activities"):

"Crimson Leaf agents shall not execute consumer-level or client-level deliverables, including but not limited to... generating marketing copy, conducting production research..."

  4. Affiliate intelligence briefs are execution work, not governance architecture. They belong in a specialized Tenant, not in Crimson Leaf's governance layer.

What Should Happen Instead

If the goal is to explore affiliate marketing as a Crimson Leaf opportunity, the correct path is:

Option A: Incubate an Affiliate Intelligence Tenant

  • Charter a sovereign company with a specialized CEO to handle affiliate research, site setup, and content publication
  • Define: target niches, content velocity, affiliate account management, SEO strategy
  • Provide: seed capital, charter, CEO hire — then step back

Option B: Extend an Existing Tenant

  • If Ink & Anchor Digital or Forge & Flux Digital (or another active Tenant) could own affiliate storefronts within their charter, extend them rather than create new overhead

Option C: Use Deterministic Tools

  • If affiliate research is purely data aggregation (API pulls, keyword analysis, competitor scraping), delegate to tools rather than agents

What I Can Do Right Now

I can help you:

  1. Design an "Affiliate Intelligence Tenant" charter — if this is a strategic niche for Crimson Leaf
  2. Assess whether affiliate marketing fits the portfolio — does it align with indie author/digital creator focus?
  3. Proposal for CEO profile — what specialized skills should the affiliate intelligence founder possess?

What I cannot do: Produce the affiliate brief above without first resolving whether this is a Crimson Leaf governance question or a Tenant execution task.

What's your intent here? Should I:

  • Draft a Tenant charter for affiliate intelligence?
  • Assess portfolio fit?
  • Recommend: build this as a Tenant vs. extend existing capability?

Or did you intend this brief for a different context outside Crimson Leaf's governance layer?
