This log records decisions, proposals, and conclusions from each strategic review cycle. Edgar reads this at the start of every strategic_review to avoid re-litigating closed decisions and to track proposal submission history.

Context

This entry was written by David and Copilot to initialize Edgar's cycle-to-cycle memory after diagnosing an amnesia loop. Prior to this entry, Edgar had no persistent memory across strategic_review cycles. The rag/agent.rag.md file contained only old roster-cap rules and was not useful for strategic continuity.

- Crimson Vows: ALL 10 chapters polished. Publication-ready.
- The Binding Thread: ALL 10 chapters polished. Publication-ready.
- Cypress Bend: 17 chapters produced (book is 12 chapters). Genre drift detected in chapters 10-17 (shifted to sci-fi dystopian). Schedule DISABLED pending audit.
crimson_leaf_marketing (CLM): ACTIVE. ~100 staging pieces + 14 formal marketing deliverables produced. Leo running campaigns.
crimson_leaf_research (CLR): Dormant. No active templates running.
crimson_leaf_operations (CLO): DOES NOT EXIST. Top priority gap.

Financial Status

System consumed approximately $12 of $30 Genesis Fund credits. ($18.07 remaining.)
Actual per-task cost visibility: NONE. CLO is needed to provide this.

Gap Status Updates

GAP 1 (CLO): REMAINS PRIORITY 1. company_proposal pipeline now wired. First real proposal authorized for this cycle.
GAP 2 (CLR market intel): Blocked pending CLO.
GAP 3 (KDP publishing pipeline): Low priority. Wait for full book assembly.
GAP 4 (CLM activation): RESOLVED. CLM is active and producing campaigns.

Proposal History

NO proposals have been formally submitted to David via company_proposal pipeline. A wiring bug (edgar/agent.yml missing company_proposal, incubation/project.yml missing company_proposal intent) silently blocked every enqueue_strategy call since Sprint 82. Bug fixed April 25, 2026.
CLO proposal: AUTHORIZED for submission. This is the FIRST real proposal.

Board Decisions

DECISION 1: Submit CLO (Crimson Leaf Operations) proposal at next strategic_review. Brief: CLO provides financial visibility (income, expenses, P&L, cost-per-task). Without it, every growth decision is made without knowing if we are solvent. Proposed 90-day success: weekly P&L in #general, cost-per-task tracked.
DECISION 2: Cypress Bend chapter_production schedule DISABLED. Do not re-enable until David audits chapters 10-17 for genre drift.
DECISION 3: Do NOT propose CLR or any other company until CLO is approved and built.
DECISION 4: Edgar may ONLY propose companies via company_proposal. No direct company creation. No hire_agent calls. Proposals only.

Next Review Focus

Watch for David's response to the CLO proposal. If no response in 48 hours, note that in the next entry. Do not re-submit CLO until David responds.
