**Author's debut novel to release next month**
*New York Times bestselling ghostwriter pens first original work after decade in shadows.*
NEW YORK -- Jane Harlan's debut novel "Echoes in the Attic" will hit shelves Nov. 15 from HarperCollins Publishers.
The psychological thriller draws from Harlan's 10 years ghostwriting for major authors, marking her first solo project under her own name.
Harlan, 42, previously contributed uncredited work to three New York Times bestsellers in the suspense genre. "Echoes in the Attic" follows a historian uncovering family secrets in a crumbling estate, blending historical fiction with modern mystery. The book has secured preorders from independent bookstores across the Midwest.
"This story has been brewing in me since my first ghostwriting gig," Harlan said. "It's liberating to finally claim my voice after years of silence."
The novel will be available in hardcover, e-book and audiobook formats, priced at $28 hardcover. Early reader reviews on NetGalley average 4.7 stars from 150 librarians and booksellers. Harlan will appear at the Miami Book Fair Nov. 20.
ABOUT JANE HARLAN: Jane Harlan is a former ghostwriter whose credits include national bestsellers in thriller and memoir categories. "Echoes in the Attic" is her first novel published under her own byline. She lives in Chicago.
