CRIMSON LEAF PUBLISHING DEBUTS SOUTHERN NOIR THRILLER CYPRESS BEND

New title marks the launch of independent publishers focus on regional atmospheric fiction

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Crimson Leaf Publishing announces the official release of Cypress Bend, a contemporary Southern noir novel, available across all major digital and print-on-demand platforms beginning November 15. The debut serves as the cornerstone for the publishers new initiative to promote atmospheric, location-driven narratives from the American South.

Set in the fictional river town of Cypress Bend, the story follows the unraveling of a long-buried community secret following the discovery of skeletal remains in the basin. The narrative prioritizes local dialect and environmental authenticity, moving through the intersection of traditional heritage and the encroachment of modern industry.

“With Cypress Bend, I wanted to write the version of the South I actually see—the one that exists in the shadows of the tourism brochures,” said the author. “It isnt just about a crime; its about how water and time eventually force the truth to the surface, whether the people involved are ready for it or not.”

The launch of Cypress Bend follows a successful three-month pre-order campaign that saw the title reach the top ten in regional fiction categories on several independent bookstore charts. Crimson Leaf Publishing has integrated a digital-first distribution strategy for the title, pairing the release with an interactive social media map that allows readers to track the storys geography.

“We aren't just launching a book; we are establishing a distinct voice for Crimson Leaf,” said the Lead Creative Director. “Cypress Bend represents our commitment to stories where the setting functions as its own character, demanding as much attention as the protagonist.”

Cypress Bend is available in hardcover ($26.99), trade paperback ($15.99), and ebook ($8.99). The author will initiate a multi-city regional signing tour starting at The Book Loft on November 20.
